This last weekend was the first weekend since July where both Rob and I have been home and stayed in Detroit. It was wonderful.
Friday night we decided to have a date night, and did a walking bar crawl of some downtown and Corktown hotspots.
The first spot we hit was Sugar House, an intimate lounge setting in Corktown. Rob has been trying to talk me into visiting this bar since he stumbled upon it after a business dinner in June. I must say, I loved the atmosphere and the time stakingly made drinks. If you have a second, check out the menu on their website. Pretty extensive eh?

Forgive me for the lack of pictures, it was pretty. pretty. dark in there.
After a few well-made (and delicious) drinks we moved downtown, and strolled through Campus Martius. Luckily, the beach bar was still up and running, I for one am not ready to see drinking outdoors go away for the winter.

The rest of the night consisted of hanging out by the fountain, and rounding the night off with a stop at Grand Trunk Pub before heading back home to relax. It was so nice to have a (local) relaxing Friday night.
